Vote:Best Unix Desktop Eyecandy

Face it, if our desktops were ugly, our retinas would melt and then what would we have? Buckets and buckets of melted retinas. That would be disgusting. So this award is for the the part of your desktop that just makes it look pretty. vote at will... the nominees are Enlightenment, Propaganda, XScreeSaver, GNOME and KDE.

    Sawmill can do everything E can, themewise. Do I smell conspir*E*cy? er.. you know.. spell it right and its conspiracy, but i had to toss in the E for.. oh, nevermind..

      Themes aren't the only kind of eyecandy. The progress screen fooshing open at the beginning, the sliding windows, translucent drags, etc... that's what makes Enlightenment more qualified than Sawmill to be eyecandy. (I use Sawmill too, but I just wanted to make that point.)

      However, I voted for Propaganda, because all the others have some other function, while Propaganda backgrounds are just damn cool to look at.

      Amen... and its easier to configure, more extensible, MUCH faster. Sawmill is incredible. Check it out if you haven't already.

    What about WindowMaker? Sure it might not have translucent moving, but I can't do it with E and my poor ass ATI card anyways.
