Project-Management Software For Linux?

X asks: "Is there such a thing as Project-Management Software for Linux? I'm working at a company that is more than happy to let me stay in a Linux world if I can provide the appropriate documents. So far, Star Office, Latex, etc. have given me a fair bit of mileage, but now I'm stuck: I need to produce a project plan, and I need to produce PERT and Gant charts, and all that good stuff that everyone else does with Microsoft Project. So what I want to know is: are there ANY alternatives? I'd live with just about anything that gave me away to produce the appropriate graphs and let me perform the appropriate calculations. The best I can come up with to date is to use Gnumeric to do it all, which is just crazy."

  1. Well, not really project management by Gorgonzola · · Score: 2

As far as producing the diagrams, you might consider Dia, although I am the first to admit this is not really project management software and does not pretend to be. It aims to become the Visio of the Unix world.

    I found this

The Project Management Software FAQ does not yet list any confirmed Linux products. R-T-R has something for Linux, but I haven't seen anything other than what's on their web page.

This is the best site I've seen on the subject. If there's software that's not available or listed there, then please, please, please email the maintainer -- he's actively maintaining the site.

I think the closest there is out there currently is the work being done on porting outlook to gnome. at least, i say closest in that outlook sorta lets you collaborate with not a lot of fuss.
