X-server for PS2

Total : $687But wait... a playstation 2 lets 2 people play games against each other no problem. PC games all seem to require multiple computers for that too... so let's assume you only have one friend, and we'll double it.
Total Cost : $1374
but wait... now we need two NICs and a crossover cable.
Total Cost : $1424
Shit, you got a second friend. He wants to play too. Now you need 3 patch cables, another NIC, a hub and another machine.
Total Cost: $2241
So for $2241, you have a multiplayer gaming system that rivals... a $400 ps2 based setup. except it's a pain in the ass to setup, takes a ton of space, uses about 850 watts more power, and isn't as much fun as having your friends all huddled around one TV.
Is Michael trying to take over Slashdot? As evidenced elsewhere, we can be fairly certain Michael is a shady character at best. From holding websites hostage, to threatening to censor posters for religious beliefs, Michael has earned quite a reputation here. If you'll please take a look at the last two to three days of Slashdot stories, you'll see Michael with the lion's share of the posts. It may be prudent to consider for a moment why this is.
I am going to conjecture that there is some sort of power struggle going on behind the scenes at Slashdot. The site is getting older, and clearly not any better. Trolls and flamers all but own the discussions, stories get repeated at ridiculous rates, and the general attitude toward the site in the internet community is one of mockery. (How many times have you heard people proclaim things like "Slashdot is now a joke", "I used to read Slashdot before it went downhill", etc...) We also know that Slashdot's parent company, VA Linux, is not doing very well.
Perhaps Taco, who is becoming more mature, realizes he has a greater calling in life than that of running a second rate web board and watching anime all day. Perhaps he has made these feelings known to the slashdot elite. Perhaps some of them feel the same way. Others, seeing an opportunity for personal gain, might not feel the same way. Maybe others think that by brown-nosing and working extra hard, they will be given the title of Slashdot leader. This is where Michael comes into the picture I believe. If Slashdot does fall into his hands, we can only hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as other sites he has been webmaster of, namely censorware.org. Judging by his previous behavior, I would not rule anything out at this point.
Then again, maybe he just didn't have anything to do this weekend.
Lucas' family had repeatedly taken him to doctors, who could find no organic cause for the teenage boy's condition. Finally, turning to their religious heritage for an explanation, the family reached the conclusion that Lucas was being "oppressed" by an invading evil spirit. This was also devined and confirmed by Lucas' aunt, who happened to be an experienced "Bruharia" (wise spiritual advisor). Consequently, it was determined that the only way to cure Lucas of his affliction, was to expel the invading spirit through exorcism.
One night, after Lucas had just recovered from one of his episodes, I accompanied him to his room, and asked him if he had any idea why this was happening to him. Lucas explained to me that when he was a young boy, maybe five or six years old, he'd been walking through a cemetery with family members, when a single glove lying upon the ground had attracted his attention. Out of normal curiosity, he'd picked the glove up...when suddenly, an odd sensation had come over him. "It's hard to explain," he told me, "but it felt as if something had suddenly 'attatched' itself to me."
"Perhaps the glove had been used or worn by someone in some sort of occult ceremony," I suggested. "Please, go on."
That night, when Lucas had gone to bed alone in his room, a "crazy looking old man" suddenly appeared at the foot of his bed, telling the terrified boy that he now belonged to HIM, and no one else! The old man continued to make frequent nightly appearances throughout the next year or so...until he finally stopped, to Lucas's relief. But now these attacks were happening to him. "And I feel so terrible afterwards, because people tell me what I've done, but I don't remember any of it," Lucas explained to me, his eyes filling with tears.
Patting his shoulder, I assured him, "This isn't your fault, Lucas. I don't blame you, and you shouldn't blame yourself...and we'll do everything we possibly can to help you. In the meantime, I'll certainly keep you in my prayers." Looking relieved, Lucas smiled, and sincerely thanked me for understanding. Because we were both trusted friends of the family, and because we'd had some previous experience concerning paranormal matters, Carl and I were both invited to attend and participate in the exorcism ceremony...which would be presided over by Lucas' aunt, the Bruharia. While discussing preparations, I suggested to the family that it might be advisable for a member of the clergy to be consulted, and if possible, to be present during the ceremony. However, they confidently assured me that this would not be necessary, since they were totally competent and capable of dealing with the situation themselves.
Thus it was, that the exorcism ceremony was set for a Saturday evening in February, to be held in the parlor of Lucas' family's apartment building, located on Hanover Street in Providence, Rhode Island.
