sasha328 writes "I found reference to this email on the LWN.NET site which was sent to the SecurityFocus mailing list. It asks a very valid question about how much you can disclose before malicious virii can be possible."

    You're right "there's no such word as" is a dumb phrase, but it has a much nicer ring than "virii is a dumb word." Consider it poetic license.

    As for "virii", you're obviously laissez-faire when it comes to creating new words - me not so much. I don't mind obvious new slang, its pretentious, ugly slang like "virii" that bugs me.

    So when I see a repeated mistake that bugs me, I try to point out the mistake. Its probably a lost cause, but tilting at windmills can be a decent pass time.

    By the way "affective" is a word, but I don't think that its the word that you meant. Try "effective" next time.

    Securityfocus has 100 odd different mailing lists, which one was it sent to? Was it bugtraq (www.securityfocus.com/templates/archive.pike?list =1), or was it some less well known mailing list?

    It's not my fault that I smell. It's just that I sit in the same seat all day, and I fart too often. After a while the fart smell just clings to you. I try to fart less, so that it is not such a problem, but I can't help it. When it wants to come out, it wants to come out.

    I almost have to wash my jeans daily just to NOT smell. That is too much I think.

    Since the Chineese decided to release Code Red on us is it legal for us to hack their servers over US phone lines? You can get into trouble for hacking US based servers, but how about chineese and eastern european?
