The Real History of the GUI
Big Nothing writes "Mike Tuck @ webmasterbase.com has written a piece on the development of GUIs. Like most other articles on webmasterbase.com it is fairly non-technical, but entertaining nonetheless." That article was very long and boring. Please post a summary. My time is too valuable for such a lengthy article.
Should I read the article or send a first-post? I am not sure?
I should read the article first, then send a post.
No! I cannot resist. Anyway...
Be warned, and moderate this down!
This is GUI!

I kinda like the "global" message number. You can't tell who has the first post without really looking into it. Now FP's will go away... now that base URLs are shown on links, goatse.cx links will go away....
I'm looking forward to seeing what the next evolution of trolls will bring us!
For a second there I thought it said "Mike Tuck @ webmasturbate.com". Of course, if that were the case I guess the title would have been "The Real History of the Gooey".
gross!
you sick, sick little man!
That is when the whole industry when to hell, with the advent of the GUI. To hell, I say!!
You haven't been around Slashdot for long, have you? Taco is a fourth-rate programmer who couldn't write "Hello World" on a piece of paper, much less in a high level programming language.
It'll take him a week to figure out what's wrong, and another year to hack together a patch.
GUI's are for stupid little panzies.
how about... goats?!
Several have said it before, but this shi-at sucked. I had more fun reading the first post trolls than this article.
u r0x0r.
got goat?
dipshit
all your webmasterbase.com are belong to us?
Annonymous Coward r0x0r the casbah! look at that karma!!!
Now if we/I can figure out how to get their goat
All your webmasterbase.com are belong to us!
My other sig is extremely clever...
How the fuck did you do that?
Just look at some of the other posts in his history. Notice a pattern? Now put 2 and 2 together, and there you fucking go.
There will always be first posts on slashdot, unless nobody posts a comment.
