Spammers Stoop To New Low
mathowie writes "I received an unsolicited spam this week from MonsterHut, extolling the virtues of their "products" which are "email marketing" (they're a spam cannon). After reporting it at Spamcop, I received an interesting email from their bandwidth host. It seems that before they could cancel MonsterHut's account for violating their terms of service, MonsterHut began suing them. The worst part? A judge granted MonsterHut a temporary restraining order, forcing Paetec to keep their site online while they continue spamming, before Paetec even knew about the suit. Paetec is collecting affadavits from people that received the spam, so if you did, fill one out. It may be their only chance against the court. How far will spammers go to get their word out? When's it going to stop?"

JonKatz, movie reviewer of the popular Linux website slashdot.com, recently announced he has reached a new low.
"I'm going to have sex with 12-year-old boys now, they're much cuter." says Katz, a known pedophile.
Prior to this release, it was widely speculated that Katz was only interested in molesting 15-year-old boys.
"Well, I like the older ones too, but they're better when they're still nice and smooth." continued Katz.
When asked if he feared prosecution for statutory rape, Katz just reponded with a laugh.
"My boys love me and would never turn on me like that!" chuckled Katz.
However, Katz wouldn't reveal the names of his underaged lovers upon further questioning. The state is currently investigating.
Earlier today, Hormel made a short and rather vulgar press release. Here it is in full:
"Slashdot fsckers! Who said you could use our trademarked, patented and copyrighted spam logo to represent unsolicited commercial e-mail on your site? You're nothing but a bunch of freeloading thieves, twisting the law for your own ends! You'd better take our logo off your site and destroy all the backups it is on, or we will sue you so hard it will make your head spin! Just ask Weird Al what we did to him when we heard his song titled "SPAM" - his anus STILL hasn't fully recovered!"
Now before you mod me as troll, just take a moment to think about this: The normal reason why spam is bad is that "Oh, it costs in bandwidth, time, connection charges etc" but has anyone ever calculated how much it costs to set up RBL+ , ORBZ etc. ? I did some analysis when evaluating RBL+ (now that it's pay-per-view) and decided that I can always delete those five messages a day (on average).
Besides, if all network admins would unblock all spamhousen maybe the "penis extension"-emails would give a "boost" to the "economy"..
has anyone tried spamming the spam sites? flood the site with tons of emails that are thank you's for all of the unsolicited emails? i think that would be a nice response...

Hey guys, check this out! I know you're against spam and all, but this one isn't spam at all! I thought it was, and I've deleted countless messages just like it, but I decided -what the hell- I'll give it a go, and I couldn't believe my eyes! First only a few dollars came in, then the cheques started rolling in! I recieved $63,000 in just five weeks, and so can you! Just follow the simple instructions, and you can reach retirement at 23 just like I did!*
