Microsoft Defends Passport To Privacy Group

Other organizations such as the Electronic Privacy Information Center, Junkbusters and even the U.S. government may be lobbied by MS this week to fend off a Federal Trade Commission complaint filed by 15 consumer and privacy groups that charges unfair and deceptive practices."

That's right, if you follow this mantra then you must agree that ultimately all of your information will be free on the net...what sites you have visited recently, your credit card info, your sexual preferences, who you work for, your favorite sports team etc, will be public domain. Hey, I like Eric's stuff just as much as the next guy, but in light of what's been going on in schools the past few years, I can understand not wanting kids to have exposure to things that romanticize the power to kill. From the first paragraph of ESR's Ethics From the Barrel of a Gun:
