    People are lazy. If you knew the ingredients for coke, you would probably still go buy it at the store rather than make it yourself, everyone in the WORLD can go get the ingredients for a hamburger or fried chicken but MCDONALDS and KFC make FORTUNES everyday! Open Source is good and right, it gives you the POWER to change things if you WANT TO, but if you are LAZY you can go to REDHAT and get your prepackaged solution for the sheep you are! :-) If I want to make a garlic hamburger I don't have to depend on mcdonalds doing it for me, I can go to the store and buy some garlic and meat! But if I am lazy and a sheep I can go to mcdonalds and get

    a whopper! Imagine if mcdonalds was like MSFT - the only place you could get hamburgers would be from Mcdonaldsoft! MCdonaldsoft would only have ONE hamburger to choose from, it would suck, you could not know how it was made and could not get the ingredients to get one yourself, if you wanted to get a hamburger it would cost 10 bucks and never be made right, either under cooked or BURNT!
