Better Networking Through Nature

The New York Times has an interesting piece about applying lessons from nature - specifically ant colonies - to solving networking and other problems. Not quite on the same level as Spidergoats, but intriguing nonetheless.

    Government succumbs to U.S. demands in dealing with Taliban : Islamabad, Sept 14: Government appeared to have joined, though reluctantly, the United States' anticipated war against Taliban for harbouring alleged terrorist Osama bin Laden. Islamabad airport was closed for a few hours before dawn today for unusual activity, apparently for planes bringing in equipment to prepare for retaliatory strikes against bin Laden, who is the prime suspect in this week's terror attacks in New York and Washington. Pakistan's army commanders met in the garrison town of Rawalpindi, apparently to assess how much to concede on the U.S. demands for cooperation without arousing the ire of Islamists and nationalists in the country.     I hope the people of New York remember what it feels like to suffer a terrorist attack the next time the IRA come around fund raising.

    I hope the people who've donated in the past are suitably ashamed of paying for the same kind of misery and death that's now been inflicted on them.

    - dismantle the nuclear capabilities of Pakistan.
    then, bomb them back to the stone age.

    -bomb Iran, Iraq, Libya.

    -bomb Afghanistan until every afghan dies or flees

    -assist the russians in cleaning up the chechens

    -assist israel, india, south sudan, indonesia, philipines, etc in their fight against the islamic threat, give suez to israel

    -deport all immigrants from arabic/islamic countries back to the middle east

      Has it occured to ya that it could be an internal conflict? It's not like your country is the most perfectly functioning democracy where all citizens are living in harmony. Half of the citizens in US doesn't vote! Maybe among those hundred and something million people there are those who choose to vote with violence instead. I'd say you should get your democracy working before you start attacking the outside world. And no, I'm not an arab.
