Alaskan Space Port Prepares for First Launch

dlkf writes: "The Kodiak Launch Complex on the Alaskan coast, run by the Alaska Aerospace Development Corporation is scheduled, weather permitting, to send an Athena-1 booster with 4 NASA and Air Force science experiments into orbit tonight. If successful, Alaska will become just the fourth state (California, Florida and Virginia are the others) to send rockets into earth orbit. For more info, read this."

You can view the launchsite without any plugins.
Pictures update only every 1 minute though so I dunno if that's going to be useful during the countdown.

Linux is so very awesome. I just read about how Dreamworks and all the big Hollywood animation departments have been switching to Linux in a landslide. Linux now runs all major Hollywood animation departments, desktop, server, and render farm. Check out this cool article: Linux Has Conquered Hollywood.

The plain truth is that the world would be a better and more peaceful place without them. The simple fact is that Islam is not a peaceful religion; it is based on the concept of conquering all non-Moslems. Islam is intrinsically hostile to all non-Moslem religions. Islam has been unable to coexist peacfully with any other group: Hindu, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Sikh, Bahai. All are severly persecuted under Islamic rule, be it the Taliban or Saudi Arabia.

As far a Buddhists, their foibles can not be compared to the horrors of Muslimism. Not even remotely in the same league.
