British Colleges Selling Screen Saver Ad Space

Why does this remind me of that Simpsons episode where Troy McClure is teaching a Pepsi-sponsored class?"

    Even ignoring the influence that advertisers have over those they pay, this just wastes electricity. The contract no doubt requires that any power saving sleep modes on the monitor be turned off so people can see the screensaver...
