      Too bad it's vaporware. I guess Linus has come to the hard realization that his "stone soup" school of development doesn't work when you'r the only developer and don't have other talented people to leech off of.

    We're working hard to facilitate the implementation fo "go anywhere" 'net devices at ScaredCity(?tm?).

    We are a little leery (no surprise there) of certain types of proprietary "tracking" technology, that would cause the user, to be some kind of walking "blip" on somebody's "chip activity monitor". pair/annoyed? you bet.

    That's why we're glad to be able to offer/encourage support of o-s developments, including giving away, this speaks_for_itself web address, including a year's free hosting.

    The ideal solution would be to exterminate everything in the Middle East - Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Lebenon, the whole nine yards. If we nuked them all, or used biologicals on them, we could achieve peace on earth. Their ancient tribal warfares have no place in our modern world. The sooner people realize that it is them or us, the better.

    Isn't it a little bit early for that? This item will only become available in a couple of weeks. Either the Taliban will serve it to us on a platter, or we'll have to hunt it down ourselves, but we don't have it yet.

    Well, I get a little tired of the average /.er expounding upon items they have little comprehension of.

    But, the whole thing that makes being an engineer "challenging" is the fact that the definition of "better" is a multidimensional equation.

    You are correct: I have 2 YIG oscillators burning 15W each, so the CPU is just one of my problems.

    Say you have a person who earns $50 a month. Should you expect him or her to pay $250 for software? I don't think it's immoral for that person to illegally copy the software and spend that five months' worth of salary on food. That kind of copyright infringement is morally okay. And it's immoral--not to mention stupid--to go after such a "violator"

    You heard it from Your God's mouth, anyone not raking in the cash can copy and redistribute commercial software as they see fit, and you can take that to the bank (courtroom).
