You don't need to be a Kreskin to predict the *BSD is dying troll's future. The hand writing is on the wall: the *BSD is dying troll faces a bleak future. I'm sure some people called FreeBSD vapor when it first started out too. There were probably people out there who did not like the idea of another BSD, and thought that it would not succeed.

Speaking of AA's VM, does anyone actually know how it works? Rik Van Riel posted some information before he designed the VM, but I've been trying to find out about AA's VM, to no success. He says its faster and simpler and cleaner, but not how.

Take note. The current year is 2001. If you shop around you can get gigabyte of memory for $100, no sweat. If your system is hitting VM hard, you really need to add more memory. Processors and memory are dirt cheap now. If your system is swaping, you are a cheapskate. Oh, and instead of trying to overload a machine, go ahead and add another one. It's cheap enough and offers better perforance all around in the deal.

1) You are a lousy practitioner of gay sex (but I hate gay sex)
2) I would find sexual details meaningful (in addition to the general suck-big-dick vs. take-it-in-the-ass philosophy you lay out)

You know why fine organizations such as Yahoo make use of FreeBSD rather than Linux on the server? Probably because their engineers don't have a fucking clue, and are still living in the early 90's. Say, when is FreeBSD getting proper SMP support anyway?

Last week, I read about the ATA drivers from BSD, were re-done in a "search n' replace" manner, in the linux community.
They say that copy-cat is the best flattery, and I accept that open-arms - natrually outside the give credit where credit is due arguments.
So kudo's to BSD for being "real" in an "un"-real OS environment.
Atleast we know ONE thing. M$ doesn't steal BSD code. If they did, the sh@# would atleast RUN well. ;)
