Multi-Lingual Searches in P2P Programs?
An Anonymous Coward asks: "My wife is a Gnutella addict (flavor: LimeWire) and is wondering what the options are for doing searches in multiple languages. Has anyone had experience with any Gnutella-based programs that work well? She's specifically interested in Japanese, but I suppose there must be others out there who'd like to find Korean, Arabic, Thai, and other songs. Any ideas? Anyone working out there on a new cool multi-lingual version?" What a good idea, and yet another area where P2P may step up first, leaving the more traditional distribution channels behind. Again. How are some of you finding foreign songs using the current music-related P2P offerings (Gnutella, Napster, Morpheus/KaZaa, etc)?
Not everything online in the form of MP3s is pirated! I have a lovely collection of MP3s that bands themselves have put up to promote their own albums. I listen to the stuff that the music industry doesn't want to deal with because the demand is too small. Killing online sharing is just a way for you guys to eliminate this competition for your distribution network before any big name artists start defecting. In the name of protecting artists you are trying to violate their rights again, and anti-trust law.
