Sony Uses DMCA To Shut Down Aibo Hack Site
Therlin writes: "Victor Matsuda, Vice President of Sony's Entertain Robot America (makers of AIBO), sent a letter to Aibopet.com citing the Digital
Mellennium Copyright Act. You can read the letter here. Aibopet is the website of an AIBO owner who enjoys researching AIBO. He also provides free software programs to improve and add features to the robots." I bet Sony won't increase their Aibo sales this way -- don't they like fanatical customers?

You have a pretty low User # to be a troll. What's the matter? Too much karma gotcha down? Trying to waste away that valuable karma before /. screws up their userbase with subscriptions and intrusive advertising?
Please tell us, the other /. users, why you be wasting precious karma? Why weren't you bitchslapped many years ago as the other sub-100000 trolls were?
Please address any corresponance to "My Ass". Thank you.
Sony are a bunch of lying coniving bastards. And that's putting it nicely.
There is a company owned by Sony on the West Coast that Sony was trying to pawn off on a local company here on the East Coast in what Sony considered good "merger" material. After reviewing Sony's claims to this company, said East Coast company did some checking around and found out that the West Coast company was in the hole several million and burning through a lot of cash AND West Coast company didn't have a viable product or a business plan. So if East Coast company took on the West Coast company, East Coast would fire everyone on the west coast and soak up the expenses, so then Sony could claim positive numbers in Q4. At least that's what Sony wanted to happen. Fortunately East Coast company figured this all out and realized it really isn't worth a lot of money to have your name next to Sony's especially when they're lying bastards.
I feel sorry for the Aibo person, but this is what the DMCA is all about...
