Java IDEs?

Billy the Mountain asks: "In the startup company I'm in, we just got a new president and she asked us about ways of increasing developer productivity. We develop Java applications, servlets and JSP. I don't use an IDE. I use an enhanced text editor, EditPlus, because I like its color coding of keywords. I guess what I'm asking is what Java IDEs do you use and what features do you like best?" If you were to build a Java IDE from the ground up, what features would you include?

Note to self. Ignore development opinions of people who don't use debuggers.

Thats like saying I would like a car with no exhaust pipe.

You write software but you don't use a debugger...
Do you know why you don't use a debugger? Well, here, I'll tell you why:

You're one of the hopeless shitbags that only people more clueless than you would possibly ever hire to write software in the first place.

You're one of the pathetic shitbags who finds that the only place you can get away with gloating about how good a developer you are is when grandma and grampa come visit and start gumming about "kids and their wizardry with new-fangled devices" ...

You're one of the chronic ass-munchers that sits unemployed when the economy slumps such that only those with abilities above a piece of snot still have work to do, because employers don't need to clammer to pull derelict cock-munchers out of crack houses to fill Web "Development" positions.

I built a company coming in to clean up the messes of clueless fuckwads like you, who invariably don't know good design/code from a goat's asshole.

Good luck back at the factory....
