Color Photographs with Game Boy Camera
An anonymous submitter sends in: "For the first time, the Game Boy Camera has been used to take COLOR Photographs. It's the Game Boy Camera Color Photography Project." The previous slashdot story that this reminds you of is this one about digichromatography.
Their methods of achieving this were fairly simple. They basically used theories about the visible spectrum (namely how it can be broken down into combinations of red green and blue).
Here is what they did. They modified the camera so it took 3 black and white pictures with different RGB filters. Then, the three were combined for a FULL COLOR IMAGE (with the help of Photoshop). So it is really more of a Photoshop+GBC picture.
Take a look at the three: here and then the combined image: here. It isn't great, but it is a start.
Hopefully they'll start tinkering with the GBA to get better photographs out there.

This is like the works of Russian photographer Sergei Prokudin-Gorskii (1863-1944), as i remember from an old post in Slashdot. ;)
The wheel turns again.
