No, its not open source, so therefore i cant .
I've seen this guy post on and off for some time and don't think he would be responsible for a troll like this. I would hope that should the /. staff determine the IP address responsible for this post, and should they determine that the poster is not David Fu but someone else who has cracked his account, then /. should call the authorities and request an investigation.
I suspect the trolls are attempting to crack accounts with low UIDs as yet another attack on slashdot and it's user community. I gotta say Rob, I think it's time you supported SSL authentication while passing passwords and began treating these jerks as if they are attacking your business. Because they are. In this kind of situation the FBI and local authorities are your friend. One or two cases taken to court and maybe the trolls might think twice before cracking another account.

I hate to be a spoiler for this kind of great news, but...
I seriously considered all three of the latest consoles for me and my family. I was open to spending up to about $500 on game stuff, but I came to these conclusions:
But these are all pretty much irrelevant. The PC makes a great platform, and I already have a couple very good gaming machines. The PC has more titles, cheaper games, downloadable demos, and can and already is connected to the internet. I for one am seeing the console industry getting closer to the closed-up boxen that I loathe. I like building some of my PC's, and the console seems to be heading in that direction.
I am quite interested to hear what other Slashdotters think about just keeping their PC's (or getting a new one) instead of also getting a game console.
I'd just rather not give the trolls my UID to try and crack. I'm a regular /. old timer who is absolutely sick of the trolls trashing what used to be a useful and cool forum.
This story reminds me of James Bonds play for "Total World Domination" in that one movie, (you know the one).
