Syncing an iPAQ to Netscape's Mail Suite?
ElGrandeBurrito asks: "I just picked up an iPAQ to replace my trusty Palm, but there's a catch I didn't realize: This little toy is more integrated into the MS line of products that XP is! My company uses the Netscape suite of products for mail, calendaring and LDAP, so I need a way to synch my iPAQ's 'Contacts' database to a Netscape PAB.NA2 file, an LDIF file, or even better, to our LDAP server through field selection. I've found solutions for every application except 'Contacts'. Help!"
...Intellisync
(It'll do ASCII sync's too).
Ignore my posts above. For an iPaq you'll need CorporateSync
... and put linux on it (doh!).
I think its available from handhelds.org
Then you can use all of your favourite Netscape apps for linux, AND enjoy increased productivity, stability....
I'd love to see what those solutions are. I bought an iPaq under the assumption that I'd be able to deal with having to use Outlook. What a mistake that turned out to be. I'm now back to using my Palm, leaving my expensive iPaq as a paper weight on my desk. I'd love to be able to cycle it back into service, but it'd going to have to sync up with more than just Outlook.
CSynch does the calendar, but steltor and netscape have diverged in addressbook tech. I have CSynch and it works great, even across the 802.11 link. However, I need the address book more than anything else right now!
