BBC Rerunning Radio Lord of the Rings

Motor writes "I'm not sure if I'm doing the BBC website a favour by mentioning this, but BBC Radio 4 is, from Saturday the 5th of January, running their excellent radio serialisation of The Lord of the Rings in thirteen, one hour weekly episodes. I'm not sure how much load the streaming system can handle though :)" Make a note of it, and save 'em. The LotR radio show is very acclaimed.

    Hey, kewl hacker doodz!

    I just saw on TechTV how to get previews of your HTML email in Outlook Express. But I didn't understand it part way through. Can someone help me figure this high-tech computer stuff out? Thanks!!!

    Spectacular success with 1st & 2nd post!! Am so impressed, Mr. Turd Report. Please keep up the good work.

    Being that you are a cool hacker dude, maybe you can answer a question for me. When I mistype my
    password on my freebsd machine it immediately fails, and gives me another prompt. But when I mistype my password on my linux box, it takes darn near a second to realize that there is no match in /etc/passwd. That's a damn long time to wait for the next prompt to come back. Why is
    it that linux sucks so bad in this way Mr. Turd Report? I'll hang up now and take your reply off the air.

    Here is what I suggest as a New Year's Resolution for all Slashdotters.

    EITHER bow to capitalism for the evil that it is, stop preaching the merits of socialist (Free) software and objecting to the power of big business;

    OR finally shed the whole spoilt rich kid mentality, stop demanding that weapons be thrown at all the poorest nations because someone shit in your back yard, and show a bit of love for your fellow man.
