I noticed that too. probably a cheap attempt to cash in on a slashdotting. I think it's pretty lame, I hope the editors filter out such junk in future posts.

Was Al Gore your fuzzy math teacher? Seriously, your math and expense assumptions are so ridiculous it would be a complete waste to refute them, and you seem to be more interested in reaching your conclusion than examining the facts.
Let's look at another example. After the doors had their first album and single (break on through) in 1966 or so, their first royalty check (2 per year) was $50,000 a piece. And that check didn't include most of the money from Light My Fire.
