Linux Gets O(1) SMP Patch As Late Christmas Gift

      I think that was referencing Linus's earlier comment that he wasn't worried about scheduling because it's so easy. It looks like Linus was right: Just wait around long enough and Ingo will write a new scheduler for you. :-)

    Why do we want everyone's grandmother to be using Linux?

    My grandma refuses to use Linux because its scheduler is O(n) and its "goodness" function can blow her L1 cache. If Linus adopts Ingo's O(1) scheduler, she just might reconsider.
