Cornell University Sues Hewlett Packard

bmc writes: "Haven't seen this on any of the big news sites, but the local paper is reporting that Cornell is suing HP for patent infringement. The alleged infringement covers HP processors manufactured from 1995 to the present. How common is it for big universities to get involved in lawsuits like this?"

    thats what they are testing there.

    it will be like..
    "oh no ! that evil hp company infridges on our patents and we didnt notice for 7 years ! we demand compensation!"

    and if they win they will be like ..

    "horray ! justice is served ! oh no ! look ! that evil motorola is infriding on our patents and we didnt notice for 7 years ! we demand compensation because hp had to compensate us too !"

    and at the end of the road.. there will be intel
    with their hundrets of lawyers lined up, their patents readied, big sack o gold coins in the pocket, awayting cornell.
