Chicago Proposes MAN (Metropolitan Area Network)

    This is great for when your government just isn't big enough! Let's build a huge network so people can get porn rather than spending it on worthwhile projects! Oh hell, who am I kidding? It'll probably be filtered anyway.

    I hear that San Francisco is planning to implement its own, called the San Francisco EXtensible Metropolitan Area Network. It uses Cisco's new Automated Network Underground System, and the Citywide Othogonal Computer Kingdom. Please, Eat Natural Indian Stew!     This article fails to point out that this network can only be used by Microsoft Windows PC's using the Intel architecture. Apparently it uses a protocol known as TCP/IP that Microsoft invented and won't license to just anyone.
