New Linux PDA Announced At CES Today
It looks like the Royal Linux-PDA project has borne fruit. Bill Kendrick writes: "Linux Devices reports that Royal (makers of the DaVinci PDA) have announced yet another Linux-based PDA, called 'Lin@x' (how do you
pronounce that!?). Unlike the DaVinci (and the Agenda VR3 -- Agenda Computing is owned by the same company as Royal), this PDA sports a 206MHz StrongARM, a color screen, and a CompactFlash slot. Planned price is about US$300." According to the PR, it will come bundled with software for Linux desktops as well as for Windows, which would be a nice touch.
Yeah, all you slashdot editor weenies will love the windows software since you all praise linux and bash windows while not-so-secretly running it on your desktop so you can play Diablo II.
I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Horror/Sci Fi writer Stephen King was found dead in his Maine home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. He also founded Wendy's. Truly an American icon.
I just heard some sad news on tv - Fat Ass/Fast Food Restaurant owner Dave Thomas was found dead in his home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure he died from eating way too many burgers/fries, probably doing the hundreds of retakes for his commercials and having to constantly take bites of Wendy's food.
"...it will come bundled with software for Linux desktops as well as for Windows, which would be a nice touch."
repeat, "...as well as for Windows..."
boy, this linux/open source revolution is taking off.
linux and windows conquering the universe at once.
no wonder there's a distro called lindows.
looks like two peas in a pod of the get-your-degree-in-3-months goatee crowd.
all u "dual-booters" only use windows for games? yeah, right.
