New Clie Handhelds from Sony

A Commentor writes: "Sony has release two new handhelds including a super slim high-res color model, which has 16M and "AV Remote Control feature". It is also covered at news.com." Looks like Sony will continue to hold the coolest Palm clone crown.

    ... but it looks like the Sony incompatibility mafia did it again.

    Only compatible with Sony headphones, Sony memory stick, Sony software etc etc.

    So, when looking at the contents:

    you can be sure that even if only the stylus brakes you're going to pay lots for a new one.

    To imagine what a new cradle or AC adapter costs is left to the reader...

    Sure they look cool, have a sleek design, but are not compatible with your favourite headphones / removalble media etc...

    In my opinion the Clies have always been the most frivolous and/or bad Palms. Non-standard screen, non-standard memory stick crap, gay leather cover and name, obnoxious wannabe sheik (but just dumb) styling. Please let's not make Clies the cool thing to have like those lavender cheap plastic Vaio pieces of crap were. It's embarassing for me that so many linux users go around showing off that they think the second-rate, pretensiously designed stuff is cool and then diss the truly well designed stuff like Apple products.
