    I have a question.

Seeing that all the slashdot editors support kernel hacking and all, has anyone on the slashdot team ever contributed to the linux kernel? If so, link to proof?

(God knows they probably have the time.....)

    Now, if anything, that's insightful.

Brazil is not a third world country. I bet there will be plenty of Brazilians ready to counter that point.

A real third world country is a one where there is no food, water or electricity. Yet that does not mean that they should be excluded from the Linux hackerdom. We should bring them the stuff they're lacking in order to participate!

Yes, Brazill is a third world country. A large percentage of their population does not have electricity or running water. Millions of Brazillians (i.e. black, ex-slave) live in extreme poverty. Only the rich in Brazill (like other all other third would countries) has a decent standard of living. You need to get your facts straight. Jared

I just wanted to say that I think slashdot really sucks, and thats why I havent been here in over 8 months.
