Farscape Video Game

mythr writes: "I was reading Firingsquad, and I found this preview of a Farscape video game. It's a top-down action/adventure game, sort of like Diablo, based on the Sci-Fi Channel series. It says that it's slated for May. I know I can't wait."

    'I was just reading [cnn.com / whitehouse.org / goatpornworld.com] and I saw this interesting article about [hamsters / midgets / lobsters] and thought "hey, that's similar to [The Space Shuttle / Doom3 / Your Mom]", but I just can't WAIT!!!'

    Normally I'm interested in game-related stuff, but WHAT the HELL does a Farscape game have to do with anything? More importantly, why does it rank as an article on Slashdot? If I wanted GAME news I'd read a GAME related web site. If this is the direction you want to move /. in, then why don't you regularly post crud about every other game in development?

    Oh, you say that you don't want to do that because you're not a game site? Well, duh.

    Slashdot used to be full of interesting articles, stuff that was worth reading, but it's really been slipping recently - both in terms of the story selction, moderation and trolls etc.

    Mod this how you want, as moderation really doesn't mean anything any more.

    Farscape is the dumbest sci show that has ever been made. It is a low budget piece of shit.

    A budget makes all the difference.

    Now all of the Star Treks were great. They all had a high budget and succeeded beyond anyones expectations. They broke away from the pack by having good actors instead of winos off the street like Farscape must have used.

    Babylon 5 was somewhere inbetween, but it still sucked.

    There are just too many cheap scifi shows on television these days and they are giving the genre a bad name. It is like all those GNU hippie geeks giving Linux a bad name. This is why Linux has not made a great leap on the desktop. No one gives a flying fuck what kind of geeks large companies keep in their server rooms so Linux will continue to grow down there.

    Now to succeed you have to become noticable. This Farscape video game will do just that but it will take the Farscape name down deeper into the crapper! No one will even want to own a PS2 with a bunch of geeks using it playing their fucking gay Farscape game.

    I can thank God I bought an xBox.
