Escaflowne & Metropolis Hit US Big Screens Friday

If you've seen Escaflowne in japanese, you probably know that its a pretty cool show, and while its not one of my all time favorites, if the big screen release gets anywhere near me, I'll be there. Perhaps even bigger news is that the mega anime film hit Metropolis is being release at the same time.

    Idiot.

    The only companies that release anime and are associated with the MPAA are:

    Columbia/Tristar and Manga Video.

    So if you buy a dvd from one of them, you must make a contribution to the EFF.

    Otherwise, you can enjoy Kenshin, Evangelion, and many other series without having to make a donation to the EFF/ACLU/other-freedom-fighting-organization-of-yo ur-choice.
