Intel's Answer to AMD's Hammer - Yamhill

All of these chip designs should be open sourced allowing anyone with a fab to produce them.
The designs are just information and information wants to be free. It's the implementation of the design (by the fab) that should be charged for, not the design itself.
It would be much purer competition if AMD and Intel had to compete using the same chip designs. Everyone would flock to AMD because it would be obvious that they are the ones coming up with much better designs than Intel.
