    Cable modems are already capped. This just
    means 10 times more unused potential. There's
    no competition forcing providers to open up
    those pipes.

    They don't have to do that -- perhaps Taco could just work up a script that every time Cringley's "Current" page gets updated, it could post an article on Slashdot.
