What happens When You Cook Your Palm Pilot

Hal-kun writes "What happens when you put a Palm Pilot in the oven to dry with the warmth of the pilot light, only to have someone cook a Pizza while you were out? Take a look. Stick a fork in it, I think it's done."

    Chronic Constipation Help

This webpage is a personal account of a succesfull, complete and permanet healing of a case
of chronic constipation. It contains detailed descriptions of my methods that I used to win
over this illness. I make it available to public, because I want to share this great
redeeming knowledge with all fellow sufferers.

A few lines about my case.
I was diagnosed chronicaly constipated in 1982 at the age of twenty four. The x-rays of my bowel showed no obstructions or anomalies that would indicate a physical reason for my ailment. The doctors (I consulted three of them to get the picture) gave me the basic advice about the right diet, excercise, stress management and forming right habits and handed me a box of laxatives. This was less than I expected of them, since I thought that they could actualy heal me. But no, the doctors can not heal constipation in anybody. There is no "medicine" for constipation. Everyone has to heal her/his own constipation, by following and understanding the right instructions. Since I found the instructions of the doctors too vague and insufficient, I studied all books related to the subject in the city library. Medical books, herbal remedies, yoga, books written by doctors and laymen. I tried it all and did not give up trying until I won. What I offer to you is the digest of these ideas, limited to only a few but very precise instructions.

The basic rules for healing of constipation are:

    Rule# 0:
Do not push. The stool should come out of you by itself. Push only minimaly.
    Rule # 1:
Position. Do not sit on the toilet. Take off your shoes and squat on the seat. This is the natural position for elimination. The thighs press on the belly, the whole body adapts for the great relief. The sitting toilet, invented by Mr. Crapper from Seattle just about one hundred years ago is a silly idea. You may as well lay and eliminate. If you can not squat for extented periods, learn it slowly. If you find it impossible, you can sit on the toilet bowl and put a stool under your feet to raise your legs as high as you can. But this will help much less. People with means can have the "crapper" ripped out and install a "Turkish toilet". Most of the people in the world still use that. To this day, 20 years after the healing I can not excrete while sitting. I squat.
    This is the basic rule.

    Rule # 2:
Time Give yourself time. Plan half an hour eliminating sessions. Bring with you the book you always wanted to read but never had time. This is important, because this will allow you to pass the time in an interesting way, and you will not hurry out. Do not read magazines or newspapers that make you angry or excited. (Playboy, newspapers etc.) The best washroom literature are classics.
Eliminate at regular time. The best time is in the morning, right after you get up or shortly afterwars after you move around a bit. But you can choose any time of the day when you do not have to hurry and you are usually relaxed. In the morning the body is relaxed, and there is peace and quiet and possible competitors for the washroom are asleep.
You do not have to shit only once a day. Take this pleasant break as many times as you want.
    Rule # 3:
Attitude Make elimination a top priority. No other appointments, or considerations are more important than emtying of your bowel. Make it categoricaly known to your family or housemates that you do not want to be disturbed. Wake up earlier, or even go late to work but your "sacred right to eliminate" must not be compromised. It is more profitable to endure other negative consequences, than walking around all day with the poison in your body. The life is not worth living with a full bowel.

    Rule # 4
Diet. This is easy. Eat anything you want, but make sure you take some fibre. Vegetables, fruit, whole wheat bread. Do not eat more than three squares of chocolate. More chocolate than that is a NO NO!

    Rule # 5
Movement. Excercise a bit. If excercise is not your way of life, it is no problem. Take a lively walk, work in the yard and around the house. That is enough. Yoga helps always. It has an inmediate and long term beneficial effects.

    Rule # 6
Cleanliness Wash you ass. Do not just wipe it. Put cream or oil on it if its dry. Treat it well.

These pleasant and common-sense rules should allow you to live with your belly light and empty. Your bowel will probably not be as fast as someone's elses, but you will "love" your washroom sessions and your health. But before that happens you have to break through.
    Breaking through
You are probably sitting there, unhappy as you can be, with the stinky remnants of yesterday's dinner still in you. The above rules are a long term project. But what about now? As a sensible person, you do not want to take commercial laxatives. They are addictive and will eventualy ruin your bowel completely.

    Massage.
Lay down with your head slightly raised. Press on the lower right side of your belly. (see the picture) Deep, gentle, slow pressure. Feel the effects. They should feel wonderfull. You have to start on the right side and continue up and around as the picture shows. This is because the colon itself is shaped that way. And the fecals in it travel in the same direction. If you do it the oposite way, it will stop you from eliminating even more. The point on the right lower side of the belly is the most important. After a short massage on the whole belly, concentrate on this spot. If you find the right spot, and press it in the right way, it may send you to the washroom inmediatly. It may be accompanied by a strong cramp, and you might think that you are hurt. But you just run to the bathroom and squat.
Do not take these results for granted. It is quite difficult to find that point and one needs a good sensitivity and connection with one's body to achieve this. But you will come close to it, and it will help you in emptying yourself for sure.
A very good move is also applying a steady pressure on you belly-button. This has a wonderfull effect, it relaxes the the abdominal area and the whole body.

    The Spot
    The Massage

    Passive Massage
Lay down comfortably on either side or your belly. Bend your right leg and raise the knee up beside yourself. This applies a general light pressure on the important area of the abdomen. Stay like that as long as you want. This I do every morning before I get up and go to the washroom. Make sure that while you do this you do not worry about not being able to shit or about anything else. This is very important. Think of something that does not stress you. And stay out of sexual immagination. This one closes your butt shut.
An alternative to this position, is laying on the belly with the palm of your right hand under the main"spot".

    Self-hypnosis.

Self hypnosis was the most important action (together with squatting) that healed me.
The succesfull accoplishment of it was the breaking point of my illness. After I have done that, all the above suggestions
finally startet to work as they claim. Since then, I have been healthy. I did not succeed on the first time with self-hypnosis and it may take a few attempts to learn how to do it correctly. But it is enough that you succeed just once or twice, and you will be OK.

Squat barefoot, and comfortable on the toilet. You can even undress your pants and make yourself very comfortable.
Sthraighten up your back, relax your anus. Sense the full bowel, the pressure of it inside you, and the desire and the need to get rid of it. Feel the pressure of the thighs on the abdomen,
And think: I am shitting! I am shitting! The shit is rolling out of me in huge quantities! An unending turd sliding through my anus! AAAH I can feel it! Its' comming out! Its going! I can shit! I can shit! I can not stop shitting! And so on... find your own expressions. You have to feel the shit actually coming out of you. Relax and open your anus, sigh with relief, immagining and feeling over and again the sensation of the stool passing through the hole and falling out. You have to see it, live it.You have to be absolutely positive that the shit will come out. As if you were done already.
At the point that you feel that the shit is about to come out - raise your arms high up, almost to the point of bending backwards. (this position helps physicaly to eliminate without pushing) and shit! It will come out. If not on the first time, than next time, or the next. But if you try hard to do it, you will succeed.

It is important that you do not think "I must shit, I must shit." The word "must" is a NO NO.
You only CAN shit as much as you want.
It is like an art, and it is not easy, but the suffering of constipation can help you to become an artist.

That'all folks. I hope this advice helps.

    The best natural laxatives are:

    1.)
Meals with a lot of cabbage. White, red or savoy cabbage (kale).

    2.)
Sourcrout. This, eaten in large quantities becomes an outright purge. Eat it raw and drink its juice or cook it up. It contains huge quantities of vitamin C and is very healthy in general. Eat sourcrout manufactured in central europe - Polish or German. They are milder (less acidic) and tastier.

    3.)
Prunes. Dried or fresh. Eat some after meal or before going to bed.

There are probably other good natural laxatives but these worked for me. No chemistry, no herbs, just plain healthy food that moves the bowel.

    Good luck!

  6. Hemo's Terrible, Terrible secret by Anonymous Coward · · Score: -1, Offtopic

Well, the question has come across all our minds at one time or another: "What's up with Hemos???." Until recently we gave him the benefit of the doubt. Afterall we all now genuinely good people get mixed up in terrible things: scientology, satanism, sodomy, and even slashdot.
The relative ease of changing one letter from "Hemos" to "Homos" should have been a good enough indication. Unfortunatly we did not act on these early warning signs early enough. It appears the Hemos has publically declared his involvement in the vile CmdrTaco Harem, "I have always been into the eclectic and bizaar" says Hemos, "Slashdot is a place where I belong, others understand my longing for the male body, and the manipulation of it." he then delves into a rant about the "benefits" of sexually deviant practices of "fisting, body modification, and pedophilia"
Clearly Hemos is a lost cause, take this as a warning. Slashdot may seem like an innocent computer enthusiast site. All of a sudden it become alright to manipulate arcane pieces of soviet operating system technology. Then the indoctrination of communism under the guise of "open-source"... I think we all know the gruesome details of further ascent into the pits of slashdot have in store.

CowboyNeal, as he is affectionatly called by the various John's who service him, has officially declared himself a recluse. "I can't face the world anymore, I moved back to my parents at 362 pounds, now I am almost at 500!!!" exclaims Neal. "I just want to sit in the basement with my pizza pops and the latest Lunix distros". This is clearly a call for help. Hopefully this brilliant writer succeeds in his lifelong battle and continues to grace slashdot with his wonderful rhetoric.

Do you know how to check whether a microwave oven has leakage? I saw an article suggest to put a mobile phone into the microwave oven and call the phone. Because the mobile wave spectrum in the microwave band, if the metal cast failed to prevent microwave passing thru, then the phone will ring.

I'm not the only one who read the same article. A PHB in another section would like to check whether the pantry's microwave oven has leakage with this method - later he complaint to the columist why he didn't warn the readers NOT to press the 'Start' button.

May be the columist must make the disclaimer 'People with IQ below 100 shouldn't read the following...'. :)
