"The Matrix" Website Updated

feelafel writes: "Corona's Upcoming Films movie news site reports that the official Matrix website, www.whatisthematrix.com, has been "reloaded" today. Click on the keyboard twice, and enter the password "reload" to get to the new material. There's QuickTime VRs, on the set shots and most likely a slew of new hidden stuff. Happy searching."

Wow...I'm the first to admit that it's a pretty site, and there's probably a lot of fun stuff to do, but there's also something to be said for usable navigation. I wish I had time to click every single little screen to try to find some of the good stuff...

Has anybody else noticed the lack of easily-navigated sites out there today? People seem to have forgotten the old "just because we can doesn't mean we should" motto..

I mean: people in black trench coats blowing people away with shotguns and dodging bullets in slow-mow?

And I love every minute of it!

But...I guess you're right. It's wrong to like anything fun and cool.

I bought the Die Hard DVD the other day, but now that you've shown me the light, I'm going to toss it since I think there are some explosions in it, and the main character has funny one-liners. How dare I. The movie as a whole isn't pretentious enough, either. It just tries to be an action movie, nothing more.

I'm also going through my movie collection and removing anything that has sunglasses or fast cars in it.

    Thanks again!

  5. It's art. by autopr0n · · Score: 3, Insightful

The movie is art. The website is art.

When you go to the website you see "cool" art (or so they hope) and it makes you think that the art they are selling as their main product (the film) is of the same quality.

And the navigation on the site is not anywhere near as bad as some people make it out to be. It only requires a little creativity and intelegence to figure out.
