I just heard some sad news on talk radio - cartoon character creator Chuck Jones was found dead in his California home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.

see the problem? even now, after some century of progress, when 7 quibit quantum computers have been constructed, some person has the sincere opinion that a coat with a battery "adds complexity and will probably not work when it is really needed". sheesh! when will these people learn? i am amazed!!!!

Mil-surp ones can be had for under $25. Good pants can be had on the cheap for around $40, if u know where to look, again go for mil-surp. Polartec, and coat, cant be had for much cheaper. tho. But your a dumbass if you pay full price for everything.
