Allchin Admits MSFT Violated the Law

An Anonymous Coward writes: "CNN is running what amounts to a two part article about the nine states who are continuing their case against Microsoft in which Jim Allchins admits Microsoft violated the law. The first part of the article deals with Jim Allchins assertion that there is no way for Microsoft to remove Internet Explorer from Windows without crippling the OS. However, he admits that the demonstration in court which showed this crippling was in fact rigged and that they have not done studies to se if it would be possible to produce an OS without the browser imbedded in it. The second part of the story involves Allchin admitting that Microsoft has violated the law but refused to specify the violations. 'I don't think that I can summarize those,' Allchin said. 'I'm not an attorney.'"

i am hopeful that this will bring the Gee Dubya crowd, those neo-Ronald "Trickle Down" Reaganites, and their domestic/financial policies down down down. Enron was their poster-company, showing the "just let those corporations do what they do best - make money" philosophy, with it's (professed) belief that the profits gained will "trickle down" to the rest of the population (or at least the part that's worthy of it). maybe this whole mess will lead to some actual government oversight or regulation that functions for the benefit of the people who voted for the government rather than those running it (and those running them - i.e, Enron executives, etc.).

and this whole attempt to draw off news headlines with the "Axis of Evil" comment(s), trip to Korea, etc., is just beyond low - he is the National Enquirer of Presidents, the Mauri Show incarnate - what obvious playing to the "slow masses" his advisors no doubt imagine.

You, sir, are a fucking idiot. You just made up three paragraphs of comments without a single shred of evidence to back it up. Do you always make up stories, or is this your first? Nothing you said had any basis in reality. Jesus Christ, do you even read the paper, or did you just hear some big words on TV last night and decide to repeat them?

Next time you go off like that, remember: Rush Limbaugh sez that calling people names just proves you don't have a real argument. And he should know, cuz he made up "feminazi" and likes calling people like the Senate Majority Leader names (when he isn't calling him a minion of Satan).
