what garbage. is noam chomsky a slashdot regular now? This Anglo American military machine you refer to has a black man and a black woman on board. how is this post worth modding up? it is just flamebait of the worst order, and not even on topic?

this isn't even insightful or informative, it's a guy using this story to push his "US are terrorists" claptrap. This post is chomsky-lite on slashdot. How in the world does this offtopic crap get modded up high?

how was the election and the florida fiasco story censored by the government? every goddammn paper was reporting it, the ny times and washpost and salon had their "election was stolen" slant. what did the government do in any sense to censor this? also, OBL has a very very large family (one of 50 something sibilings), what the fuck does a few of his clan being in the US have to do with anything?

AFAIK, bin laden had expressed no feelings of manipulation for US policy. Care to reference that? or are you just making it up as part of the US bogeyman campaign?

As far as H.W.'s Carlyle group connection and United defense connection, this war could actually hurt their project. big guns like the crusader and other cold war weapons are getting looked to get axed in favor of smaller, lighter and faster. Bush has advocated "skipping a generation" of these weapons. admittedly, it will just go away, these projects never die out, they just get review again until they go away. But it's far from this conspiracy that you and other Chomsky-ites are making it out to be.

Your post is just laden with half-truths, and other inaccuracies it is just a waste of time to rebut so much other of your garbage.
