Sure, you zealots can fantasize all you like, but Linux is caught between a rock and a hard place.
Micrsoft OWNS the desktop and is moving into the medium sized server arena. Sun and IBM OWN the high-end server market and are pushing down.
There is no niche left for an operating system hacked together by students, with an appaling security model, and an antideluvian user interface.
You might just as well argue that the Commodore AMIGA would make the ideal corporate PC. It just isn't happening dudes, time to pick upi your toys and go home...
