SgtXaos writes "The newly created American Open Technology Consortium has posted a draft of their position statement online. They propose to change that by forming a real lobbying force to educate and influence congress about issues near and dear to all of us geeks.     I just heard the sad news on talk radio!!Antiquated operating system "UNIX" was found dead in it's Key West bungalo this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss UNIX -- even if you weren't a victim of it's convoluted user interface, there's no denying it's contributions to Microsoft's ascent to greatness. Truly a hero of yester-year. UNIX will be missed :(
