Spriggan Released On DVD

Raiyu writes "Spriggan, scheduled for DVD release on 04/23/2002, has been released early and is available at many local retailers now (Got my copy today). Supervised by Katsuhiro Otomo (Of Akira Fame) and directed by newcomer Hirotsugu Kawasaki, this is perhaps the best pure action anime made to date. Although criticized by some for lacking a strong plot, Spriggan still stands as an amazing anime because it never loses its focus, to entertain the audience." If they had edited out a couple minutes of the cackling laughter from the psychic child, it would have been superior movie. Looks like AnimeonDVD already has a full review of the disk.

Yes, but as one of the only people around here who actually has a social life I feel it is my duty to shed a little light. Plus Anime is a pet peeve. I find that it's highly liberating to rant about it.

Anime puts you into an undesirable mindset. Ask any chick if they would rather go out with:

    A) Someone who sits around and obsesses about a Japanese kid show
    B) Someone who actually has a life/knows how to carry on a conversation

You should intuitively know the answer. If you can't figure it out, then there's very little hope for you.

I'm just trying to help the g**ks around here. Maybe if more get laid we won't have any more Columbines.

Oh, come on. How many crying indians does it take before we're all huddled up in the woods eating rocks? The fact is, enviro-fascist luddites are destroying America. In order to have any progress we have to accept some degree of pollution, but many people want to have their cake and eat it too! Next time some tree hugger yells at you for not separating the plastic and paper, try slashing the tires on their VW microbus. That'll shut them up, the hypocrites!
