Do You Know Where Your Privacy Is?

blankmange writes "CNET is reporting coverage of the Computers Freedom and Privacy Conference, being held in San Francisco this week. 'The conference, normally a forum for digerati to pose a series of frightening "what if" scenarios, has morphed into an event where participants' worst surveillance nightmares may be poised to come true following the terrorist attacks.' Sounds like we may want to listen for any definitive solutions that come from this conference."

Its right here between my legs.

Actually, I probably don't want to let anyone know that while I'm in San Fransisco. They might ask to see it.

Jebus, didn't anyone read the comments in the Passport + Government thread? Didn't anyone read the story itself? DIDN'T ANYONE READ THE SUMMARY ON THE /. FRONT PAGE?

Passport is only being considered as the authentication mechanism for government-run web services. NOT as a National ID.

Please people, read AND COMPREHEND before you comment on something.

MODERATE THIS UP TO 5! THIS IS A WARNING

Slashdot is using POP UP ADS! But were nerds, we don't pay for stuff so disable pop ups!

Popup disabling is built in several browsers such as Mozilla, Opera, Konqerour and then theres lynx & links which is totally safe!

Please complain as slashdot is very evil doing this and you should moderate this UP! If you hate popup ads, then stop this bullshit!
