    Hey, don't get me started.

I've noticed the same thing. I fucking hate those girls that look like they were molded from the same, worn porn star template and the spitting thing is just disgusting. One day I downloaded a video that was supposed to be lesbian threesome. Well, there were three girls and they did some mutual masturbation but most of they time they were just spitting in each other's mouths and face. Who the hell likes watching something like that?

The most entertaining porn videos I've seen recently are Swedish! Mick Beck's films like Ridskolan (Riding School) actually have a funny plot, dialogue and damn pretty, natural looking Swedish girls engaging in all kinds of sex (but no spitting!). I don't know if someone exports these DVDs outside the Scandinavia but I'm sure you can find ripped versions somewhere in the net.

heh havoc pennington writes about ui stuff. i think he is not the right person deciding and writing about ui related issues because they are totally change a long used behaviour to something uncommon, new, something that people probably not like. look he and his other usability people are responsible for a totally borked and unintuitive gtk/gnome ui like swapping all the buttons from yes/no to no/yes etc. i mean if i run gtk or gnome and use other 3rd party apps then i will get one at my head with confusing buttons stuff etc. 99% of the apps uses them correct but gnome needs to go a new way.

also why i think he is not the right guy for ui issues is because he works on gnome, look at the still totally inconsistent menues, dialogs, menuentries etc in gnome. i mean if he really cares so much of that shit then why not fixing it there first to show the world that he means what he says ?.. the dialog/windows/menues etc are more conform in kde than in gnome. (sorry for the kde/gnome example right now but its just a matter of fact)

gnome menues in gnome 2 right now, some apps have help menu item aligned left to the other menuentries and other apps have it right as it was under motif, some menues are higher than others, some toolbars follow the gnome control center selected issue like icons only, text under icons etc. and a lot of apps within gnome follow different way, one show buttons only, the other show text under icons etc.

some menu entries have help->contents and help->about and some other apps have help->contents, help->separator and help->about, some other apps have the pulloffable menu draghandle to the left and others not etc...

sorry to say but please before releasing such stuff in the public by someone working on gnome it would be necessary to show in the public first that this is possible in a project like gnome.

its like saying 'hey i am the programmer but i have no clue about writing either apps/games whatever'

I find that most of the "problems" in Gnome are directly related to the Nautilus File browser/manager, and that is why I do not use it to draw the desktop or as the principle file manager. GMC fills all functions admirably. Now for KDE: bloted libraries, many useless apps... and the list goes on. The Konqueror FM is good though, and so is Kmail.... That's about it. I have the best of both worlds so to speak. I find myself using Xfce with the Gnome panel added. I call up both KDE and Gnome apps simultaneously without a glitch. But for everyday use, I prefer Gnome. I just wish thay would totally drop Nautilus, and move totally away from the attempt at eye-candy into something serious.
