    Sounds like my physics teacher, Mr. Wilson. not only was he a bad teacher, but he hit me with a yard stick, like six times!!! This is why I hate school, my friends.

    Just a side note ... the Sudbury Neutrino Project uses linux in its data gathering process. Possibly it is also used in other parts of the experiment but I cannot be certain.

    My university has been running a 24-hour display for years showing real-time data from the SNO data collectors. You can see the KDE desktop under which the detector display application is run.
