Will Evolution Exchange Microsoft?

Anonymous Howard writes "Infoanarchy has a comprehensive review of Ximian Evolution. The reviewer claims that the Windows/Outlook combination is inherently inferior in terms of security, because users have too many privileges on the host system. Also, Evolution's indexing appears to be quite well scalable."

yeah most 'linux' apps i've used seem to be just shitty ripoffs of all the work other people (ms) have done on their software. every once in a while i catch the linux bug, and install a distro on some computer or another. then i see that the apps are just trying to clone windows apps, most of my hardware doesn't work, i can't play the latest greatest games without fucking with some insanely gay windows emulator, and i wind up ditching the gay linux install. face it, until there is a linux port of ms office, office users will still use windows + office. deal.

A semi-interesting article written by yet another Debian bigot. Apt-get already has a successor, my friend.

Do they have any plans to make a w32 port of Evolution client?

Yeah, right after they release the Win32 port of GNOME.
