Fewer Jobs, Less Pay In The IT Industry
dipfan writes "At last an explanation why you can't find a job: a report in the Washington Post says there were more than 500,000 tech jobs shed in the US during the last year, and (for the first time in several years) average IT workers pay is down by 11 percent - down from $71,000 to $63,000. There is some good news on the horizon - the survey of employers by the Information Technology Association of America says that more than a million IT jobs are going to be created in the coming year, taking employment back to pre-2001 levels."
Does this means people are NO LONGER WILLING to pay zit-faced unwashed g00bers to sit on their ASSES and download pr0n all day?!?!?
I, sir, am shocked. Truly shocked.
Amen to that. The only thing helping is the fact that those piss heads and moolies won't be able to get visas so easily, thanks to some errant camel jockeys. However, some fucking cunt-faced industry group will probably get an exception. What would be ideal is a bit more fucking mayhem here in the lower 48 and we could have the border sealed tighter than a nun's cooter. Jobs galore, baby!
I am a decent coder with 18+ years of experience
Yeah, right.
Public school teacher? tenured faculty? Your teachers get a three month paid vacation.
Take the teachers salary * (4/3) + (benefits
gaurantied by the state) + (preferencial federal
tax treatment a la 403b accounts) = true salary
And how do you know what your teacher is paid anyway?
Give me a break. Don't beleive the propaganda!
you are from Quebec aren't you.
G.W. Bush and friends.
...get used to it.
Don't blame the hardware, dipshit. Anyone that really knows anything about running NT knows that Compaq/IBM/HP are the only decent choices for hardware, with Dell trailing behind.
