Attack of the Clones Cut in UK

MartyJG writes "The British Board of Film Classification has demanded a cut in Ep2 AOTC for a head-butt. I don't know which is more extreme: UK viewers insisting on viewing the US version for 1 second of extra film, or that a 1 second cut means the difference between a '12' (~PG-13) and a 'PG' certificate. For some reason the distributors must think fewer people would see the film if it was a '12'. The film report is on the BBFC website."

They're just afraid that seeing a head-butt will inspire all the soccer-hooligans in the audience to riot.

Well, that takes care of my UK-bashing for the day. Now on to the French...

In the UK, children under 12 aren't allowed to view a 12 rated film, even with an adult. PG (parental guidance) is the rating for "under 12 with adult".
However the BBFC are looking into changing this. In the easter school holidays they ran some trial tests at a few cinemas where they allowed under-12's to view 12-rated films with an adult. From what I heard the trials were a big success.

We have learned something from the experience though. After Germany, 1935, and France, 2002, we successfully prevented the same thing from happening in the Netherlands: we shot Pim!

    You are such a jackass...

The WWF? which seeks only to provide entertainment, didn't they even re-name themselves to World Wrestling Entertainment?
Heck I would even go so far as to say that they show young children the need to excercise and stay healthy.

Guns and Ammo? What if the child has an inclination for physics and is interested in ballistics?

Just jump back on the Knee Jerk bang wagon and leave us sane folk who seek a life drenched in the warm loving embrace of rational though alone.

It's been my experience in my many travels to the USA that the majority of its citizens most certainly do care how they are perceived abroad - by Europeans, Asians, etc.

Then why the fucking hell do they drive their pedestrian mowers, export vast quantities of bad culture and greenhouse gases, carry around assault rifles and carpet bomb everybody who does not obey the orders of His Royal Highness Lord General George Dubyah Bush The Second?

What the US of A needs is a good dose of socialism. It worked great for colonialist Europe, it can work even better for neo-colonialist America.
