Mozilla 1.0 Release Parties
Screaming Lunatic writes "With the release of Mozilla 1.0 almost here, the open source Mozilla community is planning a bunch of parties all over the world. You can choose to attend a party already planned somewhere in the world or start up a party in your own neck of the woods. The main party will be at 8pm Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco." Currently 37 parties
listed, but many of them look awfully lonely... none near Ann Arbor yet ;)
Throwing parties over a web browser's release?? At least LAN parties have a purpose, but exactly what does one do at one of these things? Sit around and talk about how Linux is good, Mozilla is good, and how anything Microsoft is bad?
Sure, mod me down, but what's the point of all of this? The geek community has hit a new low here, and I think it's pathetic, if you ask me.
uhh yeah they are.. at dayton I saw at least 4 booths selling obviousally illegal copies of winsnot XP. on burned CDR's and hams were buying them up like mad. as for the Dayton LUG selling copies of RH7.3 for $15.00 that are "burnt" cd's.
Obviousally you dont know squat do you....
Hey, if I didn't have broadband and I wanted OO1.0 I'd shell out 5 bucks for a great looking CD with a full color GLOSSY printing and a hard plastic case. I've sold 20 copies of just OO on cd here at the office and to ARES members..
go away little troll man... you're just pissed that I thought of it and you didn't.
