    Imagine if Microsoft said: "It's ok for IIS to crash when presented with a malformed HTTP request. When that happens, one of these two possibilities is true:

    • It is not a real HTTP request at all, so by sending it to IIS, you are misapplying the product
    • It is a defective HTTP request
    either way, it's not Microsoft's fault that the web server crashed." We would be rolling in the isles with howls of laughter.
