IBM Spins Down

beggs writes "IBM and Hitachi have signed an agreement which will take IBM out of the hard drive market in three years. This press release on IBM's web site gives some details of the deal. 18,000 IBM employees and all their hard drive related patents will join about 6,000 Hitachi employees to form a new company that will be a subsidiary of Hitachi. Sad to see big blue out of the hard drive business, they have made a lot of contributions to computing." We did a story when they announced their plans back in April.

  1. Purchase as much LNUX as you want to make? by Anonymous Coward · · Score: -1, Offtopic
    Hi,

I have some money to invest, and my friend told me to buy shares of LNUX. He says it is a visionary company with a great business model, and should be generating tons of revenue soon ($$$!!!).

He also told me they own this website, www.slashdot.com. He said there are lots of friendly people who can help me.

He said I should buy LNUX now because it is priced well, and should have great growth potential. In fact it is such a great price right now that I can buy over 100 shares! What do you all think?

    Thanks in advance!

Microsoft has finally agreed with Debian GNU/Linux, to stop developing MS-Windows in 2 years.

In return, microsoft employees will be allowed to use Open Source Software (worthing billions of Euro as compared to commercial equivalent solutions) as well as their families, childer, grandchildren ... for the rest of their lifes, for free.

Oh, it is not segfault here.
