Weather Channel Sponsors OSS ATI Radeon Drivers
jvmatthe writes "Jens Owen of Tungsten Graphics (mostly former VA Linux/Precision Insight employees) posted to the DRI developer's mailing list with some excellent news about the future of DRI drivers for the ATi Radeon 8500 video card: "The Weather Channel is funding TG to develop an open source 3D DRI driver for the ATI Radeon 8500 graphics card. The driver will be released to the XFree86 Project around Q4 of 2002, to be distributed to the public in future versions of the XFree86 X Server."
Presumably this means that this Weather Channel is the one footing the bill for the development. Given that the current Linux support for the 8500 is limited to a binary-only driver that is intended for a related professional-level card, the delivery of an open driver is excellent news. This is also listed at the bottom of the TG project page."

Sweating and farting nervously on the verge of mental meltdown, ELQ reloads each of her precious OSNews pages, making sure all is well. No logical order for checking, purely random and impulse driven by raw Mediterranean temper, stopping for the occasional savage bite from a pork loin still affixed to the bone, Eugenia's eyes never leave the monitor.

Hair is frizzled and days unwashed, asscrack just barely half wiped in a frenzy to return to her monitor, having taken a large shit earlier. No time to flush! Her armpits are over-ridden with pubic hair, her fat flaps reek of B.O. and yeast from days of neglect and hour upon hour of sweating. Relentless sweating.
"Cannot to be keeps up this pace! I may be need to go to hospital for exhaustions" she pants in desperation, wiping the sweat from a matted hair lock with her week-old t-shirt offering.

Last night there was a shattering of peace as cops busted a crossdressing prostitution ring. Michael Sims, the leader of this ring was apprehended in a local bar trying to get some new recruits. According to many victims of this ring, the Transvestite prostitutes would dress like the opposite sex, and wait for same sex customers to pick them up, and it was only when they were alone, the prostitutes would expose that they were the same sex as the victim and rape and rob the client.
So far it is reported that over 200 people have fallen victim to these shady characters. Michael Sims was interviewed today and had this to say in their defense..."I'm not sorry for what I did, I used to rape members of the opposite sex and rob them, just so I could have enough money to buy a meal, since I write open source software for a living...and now that I have my army of loyal prostitutes, I'm stinking rich!!!" So far the the court date has not been set for your name, but we are pretty sure that while Michael Sims is in jail, they will be getting treated the same way as their many victims.
