MS Articles are either "BSOD bug! Hurray!" or "MS Tries to fix a bug, so lets bitch about it" or "MS Overhauls system to make it better, so lets bitch about it!"

Most slashdot users that complain are "going with the flow" of what everyone else is saying, especially those that haven't even used an MS product in years!
I truely believe that if MS opened its source, BSD style license, 90% of slashdot users wouldn't touch it, even if the open source community fixed everything.
Its like trying to convert a fundamentalist creationist to evolution or vice versa.
Oh, and if you are calling me a troll cause I'm thinking against the "slashdot think", then guilty as charged.

Gates has done two things... .NET and Longhorn failures
1) put Balmer in charge so Balmer can take the fall for the XP,
2) promoted himself as "Mr. Philanthropist".
After all, he HAS been dumping large quantities of his own stock in recent months. "Diversification of his portfolio?" Ya, right. It makes sense to sell a stock that is performing at 2% above the market average, for a bunch of stocks that are peforming at or below the market average. Microsoft is over 15% of NASDAQ. When MS stocks take the fall, the retirement funds of America will receive another "Enron" blow.
Linux is the primary religion here.
Don't expect logical responses on operating systems.
Longhorn is a cheese. A mold. A fungus. The fungus is among us. Except, this fungus will reach out and absorb your nutrients and pop out mushrooms all over. This is no fat, juicy steak, they are trying to shoehorn some longhorn into your ass.

Please. Nearly every recent abuse by corporations is possible only because the state has overstepped its power. You can blame Adobe for having Sklyarov arrested, but they could only have their desires enforced at gunpoint because Congress shredded our rights with the DMCA. No corporation can take your life, liberty, or property without my consent, unless they are backed up by government force.
For example, if you lose your job and can get 60% of yout former salary by virtue of the State's unemployment insurance, you can bet that companies don't push their workers around, as people simply quit and take the time to look for a proper job.
Are you serious? How many people would work at all if they could get 60% of their income by sitting on their butts? Basic economics: when you subsidize something, you get more of it. This is why European nations consistently have high unemployment.
